Last week, Leonard was on vacation and he and Baby Leo were total buds. Little Leo wanted no one but his Daddy and wanted nothing unless it was from his Daddy. Well Monday when Leonard returned to work, he did not exactly receive the homecoming he was hoping for. Sounding a little rejected he made the comment that he had resumed his rightful spot on the totem pole. It's only gotten worse from there. Tonight when he got home from work, Little Leo out right ignored him. My poor husband, I could see the feeling of rejection clearly across face.
Leonard is the best father, husband and provider I could ever have hoped for and it makes me so sad to see him feeling less than what he his in the eyes of a 16 month old boy.

Awwwww! How cute and sad at the same time. Do you think Lil Leo felt rejected himself, when Daddy returned to work?
Hey...I learned something EARLY on & I think it may apply here. You can TEACH your son to be excited every time his dad walks through the door. If you yell, "HEY...it's daddy!!! Go give your husband a big fat hug & kiss; your son will eventually get EXCITED every time he see's his dad. Also...if Leonard says something when he walks through the door like...."I"m HOME...WHERE's my boy?????!!!!" Goes & gives him a big fat whatever.
Kids are super receptive & learn by example & reward. LOVED the NEW look. I'm definately going to have to go to Lisa's blog & get one for me. I'm SO HAPPY to see you blog.
Oh, how heartbreaking. He'll get over it. But I understand how hard that would be for Leonard.
P.S. I love your blog look!
