Today, I spent time with my Mom. I love spending time with her...she always has such great conversation. Little Leo was so excited when he saw her that he ran away. That actually is a compliment, despite of how it sounds. He just gets so excited he doesn't know what to do with himself.
We went to have a gourmet lunch - hot dogs at Costco. With some light shopping. The trip was short and sweet. She cracks me up. "Just give him a little" or "Be nicer to him, he won't like you" all just tidbits of her motherly advice for me.
You got to love that woman.

I miss my mom, Liz. You are very fortunate. I am happy to read that you appreciate her.
I imagine that you do. Especially right now. When I had Leo I missed my Dad like crazy. Even now, I still wish he could be here for certain things. And we didn't even get along all that great. Our relationship was a work-in-progress. I wish I could say it passes...but it hasn't for me yet.
Yeah. She's definitely not into "tough love."
I know I do! Your mom is my bestest and most happiest table conversationalist ever! I miss her terribly. I'm glad you appreciate her. She's not perfect but she is the BEST.
I think it won't ever pass. But I do plan to share pictures of her when our baby is old enough to understand. I am sure you will do the same.
