Nursery...here we come

I have been waiting for Leo to turn 18 months for a long time. I can't wait for him to go to Nursery. In my ward they encourage you to come with your child into nursery before they are 18 months so that they can become familiar. So on occasion, we will go in there during the first hour and I usually take Leo with me to RS for the last hour. Well today, because it is getting close for Leo to start nursery, they suggested I leave him with them while I attend RS alone.

It lasted 30 minutes. Leo has been mad at me ever since. I have a feeling the transition won't be as easy as I had hoped.

Jacki cried like that too. It will pass. In fact jacki cried ALOT. When I had to start work (she was 6 months & still nursing) she cried the whole first week I went back to work. Your poor mom! She had to break her into a boltle and listen to her cry non stop. She cried when I had my friend Karen watch her for 2 hours. COme to think of it; it's probably the 1st kid syndrome since your whole life evolves around that first born. She survived and so did everyone else. She did have anxiety attacks whenever I was late to pick her up from Preschool & K-5. She thought I was never coming back. Poor kid. Look at her now.

Today a new little sunbeam kept crying because he missed his mom. I was so sad that he was so sad, and I wondered what it feels like to be that cool person. At this point in time, Jonathan would much rather be with daddy or grandma and grandpa than me :)

Good luck--at least pretty soon you'll have some peace and quiet!
