Leo has been working on learning how to use a spoon for quite some time now. He never quite makes it from the bowl into his mouth without his food falling from the spoon. Then he began just dipping his spoon into his food to get a lick of flavor and was beginning to rely on me to actually get the food into his mouth. So I began giving him his own spoon to use, while I fed him with a different one. I also began putting the spoon into his hand, holding it for him, and showing him how to scoop.
This morning's oatmeal proved to be quite the achievement for him. It was the first time he began spooning his food from the bowl and actually making it into his mouth with food still on the spoon and not down the front of his shirt. Granted it was still messy but he actually fed himself something.
I'm very proud...he's growing up too fast. But it was just one bowl of oatmeal, we'll see how he continues over the next few days.
And one more because I think it's cute, and it's really for me to have...

It's really humbling to see him grow into a little person. Congrats on another big milestone.
And the picture at the bottom is too cute!!! Who taught him to do that?
Your little boy is absolutely adorable, Liz! And hooray for the achievement!
Rocky comes home in just over a week, +/- 3 days. I'll know for sure probably the day before he comes home! And you might be right about needing to stop washing my hair! =) At least then I won't see how much I'm losing.
Yay Leo!!!!!
I am so glad you are adding pics now :)
He does a real good job with the spoon! Also, the picture on the couch is adorable! He is growing up too fast!
What a CHAMP! I was thinking this is cool to have an actual date and post of this accomplisshment for your life. Make sure you get something to back up your stuff so that if something ever happens, all these wonderful experiences are saved and safe! VERY COOL.
Go Little Leo!! That rocks. And that last picture is totally hilarious :)
