It's been a week
It has been a week since my brother Spencer came over to block the entrance to the birds nest...there is still no smell, but I do hear occasional fluttering. I think though, that it is birds trying to get in from the outside. Each time I go out to investigate, there is a bird in the nearby vicinity. I think they are the culprit. I really hope nothing gets in. Pesky birds!

Yeah, birds are the worst. We live on the top floor of my building, so they're always waking me up with their hooting.
I hear yoga is great, but the ones on my dvd kill me. I don't like it.
As for the birds...we have morning doves. They are just like human families. The mom lays the eggs & then one parent lays on the eggs by day & the other by night. When the birds hatch-they all sit together in the nest & parents take turns feeding & they fly away when their offsprings are ready to leave the nest, but the parents are overseeing it to the end! What's interesting about these birds...they tend to build their nests on questionable foundations (just like humans) & so the nests have high fatality rate to the outside elements (wind, predators, etc.) Love these birds.
Throw a cat up there :) Want to borrow one from us? They are the pests in our neighborhood :)
We like birds! Unfortunately, when the Avian Flu hits we will be ground zero!
