So after almost 5 years in Primary callings in some form or another...I have been released. I no longer have my Activity Day girls, I am no longer teaching in any way. I am sad to see them go. I have watched so many of them grow, and actually was enjoying the first class I taught in Primary again in Activity Days.
I've been called to the Relief Society...I am the new Enrichment Leader. I am so outside of my element but am willing to learn. I was called for a reason, and I know that reason was more for my own growth than for anything I can really offer these women. If anyone ever has an incredible Enrichment Night, please forward the info...I could use all the help I can get.

I love Relief Society! I miss it. But I still wouldn't want to be in charge of enrichment :) Good luck with that! My only advice is to have food, always.
Wow. Good luck. I'm sure you'll be fantabulous. You have the personality to make everyone feel welcome, which is as important as the activity itself.
I'm looking forward to working with you. I'm going on 3 years in this calling, so some new/fun ideas are always needed. Thanks for helping me out today with the cookies :)
I LOVE giving imput! My favorite Enrichment Night was where everyone brought in ONE of their favorite recipes & was asked to bring 50 copies (preferably w/ 3 holes punched on side to put in a BINDER that RS provided. They slipped a nice SIMPLE sheet into the cover sleeve w/ the RS Ward Name & graphics (ours was just a few stripes to enhance the look of the binder)
The sisters all just taste tested whatever looked interesting to them & if they liked it-grabbed the recipe to insert into their binder.
The tables where set in a big square so lots of dishes could be put out and in the center was a culinary display (ambiance)
The entertainment was 1 or 2 culinary demo's which was based on time left. It was great cuz we're eating things that are already tried & true!
You're a NATURAL for this calling, but brace yourself because it is constantly on the back of your mind. However, I can see you LOVING this calling. BE SURE TO DELEGATE! The wisdom of the Lord is WORK. WORK. WORK! And..the more people (the ringleaders of various groups) you ask to participate in doing or providing the BIGGER the turnout. Trust me. The turn out sucks if you're a micro manager. We want everyone to GROW. PRAY. PRAY. PRAY. One of the blessings that too many of us miss is the INSPIRATION that flows into your life because you ASKED!
